DETROIT, Mich. — A chilly start to the weekend in Detroit should give way to milder, dry weather by Sunday, with temperatures climbing back above normal heading into next week.
Saturday calls for partly sunny skies and a high near 52, with an overnight low around 35, according to the National Weather Service. A northwest wind pulled cooler air into Southeast Michigan late in the week, holding highs near 50.
For comparison, Detroit’s normal November high is 48.6 degrees, so the cool spell is closer to seasonal than it feels after a warm start to the month.
Dry weather is expected to carry the warm-up. The city’s high should reach about 58 on Sunday and again on Monday, and readings could flirt with 60 early next week.
Friday’s breeze kept wind chills mostly in the 30s. Any stray showers were expected to stay north, mainly over Sanilac and St. Clair counties along the Thumb’s eastern edge, rather than the Detroit area.
